Written Interview: Seth Lochhead (“Hanna”)

Nice feature in the Vancouver Sun about native son screenwriter Seth Lochhead who co-wrote the screenplay for the movie Hanna. Some excerpts:

“It’s always about the script for me. Do I socialize and build my career that way or do I write a really f — -king great script and build my career on that? I said, ‘Okay, I have faith in my script.’”

Lochhead shares an interesting anecdote about how he got his script in front of buyers: He sent out 400 emails to people in the business:

“A lot were one-sentence emails. A girl is trained to be an assassin; would you like to read my script.”
