“I’ve just about had enough of you. Go that way. You’ll be malfunctioning within a day, you near-sighted scrap pile. And don’t let me catch you following me begging for help because you won’t get it.”

— C-3P0 (Anthony Daniels), Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), written by George Lucas

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is Star Wars. Today’s dialogue suggested by Luke M.

Trivia: The film revived and re-popularized the “Wilhelm Scream” sound effect, first used in Distant Drums (1951).

A couple of folk already mentioned a favorite scene, Han Solo being inept minion on phone, and today's post provides lovely homage to R2-D2 and C-3PO, so how about a BFF moment with C-3PO and Chewbacca:

"Oh yes, that's very good. I like that….oh, something's not right because now I can't see. Oh, oh that's much better. Wait….wait! Oh my! What have you done?! I'm backwards! You flea-bit furball! Only an overgrown mophead like you would be stupid enough—"

But no luck finding clip, though did find this wonderful 2:13 LEGO retelling of the Star Wars saga: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0z_TU4Gw5o
