Video Interview: David Simon (UNC speech)

Recently David Simon spoke at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an event I was fortunate enough to attend. Simon, whose contributions to TV writing has been enormous, creating such unique series as “The Wire” and “Treme,” has strong political, cultural, and philosophical views, and he is decidedly pessimistic about the state — and fate — of America. His take is a fascinating one, well worth considering.
