20th Century Fox drops lawsuit against P.J. McIlvaine

For all of you who may remember this stunning saga from last November:

After creating a free online library of Hollywood movie scripts to assist other screenwriters, she [P.J. McIlvaine ] incurred the wrath of Twentieth Century Fox. Without any previous contact, the movie giant sent private investigators to P.J’s home to gather information and has now sued for a mind boggling $12 million.

Just heard from P.J.:

“I am pleased to announce that 20th Century Fox’s lawsuit against me has been dismissed. I am very happy that this ordeal is over. I learned more about the legal process than I ever wanted to know. The attorneys for 20th Century Fox were straightforward and behaved in a courteous and professional manner. I would like to thank everyone who supported me during this difficult time and especially my wonderful attorneys for guiding me through this process. Moving on, I am looking forward to continuing my screenwriting and am currently involved with several projects, including a paid assignment co-writing a screenplay based on the memoirs of the godson of a notorious Mafia figure.”

And now here’s the Hollywood ending: P.J. sells an original screenplay… to Twentieth Century Fox.

Believe me, it could happen.

Congratulations, P.J.! I’m sure this holiday season will be a much brighter one for you than last year.
