Spec Script Sale: “The Gun Eaters”

Paramount acquires action-thriller spec script “The Gun Eaters” from writers Alex Paraskevas and Jordan Goldberg. From Deadline:

Follows two hardened detectives in a race to apprehend a man on relentless, day-long killing spree across New York.

The script made the 2011 Black List.

Paraskevas and Goldberg are repped by UTA and Oasis Media Group.

By my count, this is the 50th spec script sale in 2012.

There were 41 spec sales by this date last year.

The 50th spec didn’t sell last year until June 29.

Spec script sales are up 22% year-to-date compared to 2011.
