“I order you to forgive yourself.”

— Les Misérables (1998), screenplay by Rafael Yglesias, novel by Victor Hugo

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is forgiveness, suggested by churnage.

Trivia: The town in which Jean Valjean becomes mayor is never named in the book. In the movie the town is called Vigau, a name made up of the first and last syllables of Victor Hugo, the author of Les Misérables.

Dialogue On Dialogue: A different take on forgiveness, being ordered to do it.

NOTE: If anyone has any other suggestions related to the theme of forgiveness, please post in comments.
