Spec Script Sale: “Shadow Run”

Sony Pictures acquires action thriller spec script “Shadow Run” written by Joe Gazzam. From THR:

The action is put in motion when a viral attack puts lives in danger, forcing a CIA agent to enact a secret prisoner exchange of Russia’s most notorious spy for the American scientist who can create a cure.

It has been described by one source as “Safe House on a plane.”

The deal is for a reported high six figures.

Gazzam is repped by Paradigm and Industry Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 9th spec script sale of 2014.

There were 8 spec script sales year-to-date in 2013.
