Trivia: According to David Heyman, the work print of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” was at 5.5 hours long, and the shooting script was close to 500 pages, which justified the decision to split the movie into two.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Commentary by Will: “As the threat from Lord Voldemort grows and reaches into the non-magical world, Harry and his friends must run, to leave their safe havens to avoid bringing disaster on friends, family and loved ones. With one word, Hermione casts a spell to remove her memory from the minds of her parents and erase all evidence of her existence from their home, then takes her leave, hoping this will leave them safe.”
