Got an email from Seth Caton:

If there is a “Shark Week” we are entitled to a Jack Nicholson day!

We looked through national TV listings, as well as every online video source we could find, to put together the best Jack Nicholson Birthday Marathon possible.

Pretty goofy project, but, seemed like a good enough use of our free time. Plus, we get to do a little bit of the project at work, on the clock, which makes it less goofy, and more amazing.

Jack is one of the greatest living actors, and the official king of cool. In short, Jack is amazing. He has been in scores of the most amazing movies, and is in a number of the greatest movies of all time.

This year, we are going to spend his birthday watching him do what he does best. We hope that next year we can keep finding more, and better, programming for his future birthdays.

It’s true, today is Jack Nicholson’s birthday: He turns 76 years old.

I’ve seen him one time. It was 1979 at the Hotel Jerome bar in Aspen. Packed apres ski. In strides Jack in ski gear, a young beauty on each arm. Proceeds to have a few drinks sandwiched between the babes and a room full of locals and tourists.

Seriously… what must it be like to be Jack Nicholson?

Here is a guide to movies and docs about Jack you can see on-air today:

What’s your favorite Jack Nicholson movie or anecdote?

Happy Birthday, Jack!

UPDATE: Turns out Jack just sold a house he co-owned in Aspen since 1980, a famous old Victorian. Article from the Aspen Daily News here.
