The entire schedule including my 4 sessions: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
I’m here in London fending off jet lag after getting perhaps 1 hour sleep during last night’s eight hour red-eye flight across the Atlantic. But there was an awesome box of chocolate goodies waiting for me in my hotel room, so I’ve got just enough of a sugar high to wrap up blogging for today. We’ll see if I can continue my consecutive day posting streak alive tomorrow.
Here is my schedule of events:
Friday, 10AM-12PM: Coen Brothers: Unlocking the Mystery of These Master Storytellers.
Friday, 6:30PM-7:30PM: Killer Scene Descriptions: Using Screenplay Style to Express YOUR Writer’s Voice.
Saturday, 10:30AM-12PM: Pixar: The Secrets Of Their Storytelling Craft.
Sunday, 2:00PM-3:00PM: Writing The Compelling Nemesis That Elevates Your Plot, Characters and Stakes.
Saturday afternoon, I’m also doing a three hour script lab with 6 writers who were selected to work with me. We will dig into each of their stories and the focus will be what I call Character Based Screenwriting.
You can check out the entire schedule here which features some names you’ll likely recognize including Chris Vogler (‘The Writers Journey’) and Jeb Stuart whose screenwriting credits include Die Hard.
Looking forward to what promises to be a busy but rewarding time here at the 2017 London Screenwriting Festival.

More travel in October: For the 9th time, I’ll be a mentor at the Black List Features Writer Lab in Los Angeles and I’ll be on some panels at the 2017 Austin Film Festival.
