Attention all L.A. based writers!

Occasionally I’ll ask the GITS community a really basic question: Where do you write? It’s always interesting to read the answers, especially to see how so many writers prefer to work in a public setting. Of course, you can simply scramble for a seat at the local java joint and put up with the distractions of cell phone conversations and piped-in muzak.Wouldn’t it be nice to work in a quiet environment, surrounded by fellow writers?

That’s what theOffice offers for writers who live on the Westside of Los Angeles. My good friend Tom Benedek (Cocoon) has used the space and I’ve visited it as well. It’s a wonderful environment, extremely conducive for writing. And right now they’re running a contest for a free fellowship. Here’s their press release:
