Audio Q&A: Jim Rash (“The Writers’ Room”)

For the next two weeks in this time slot (Mon-Fri), I will be featuring Q&A’s from L.A. based screenings recorded and edited by Wendy Cohen. It’s a fantastic resource for those of you who live outside Hollywood or in Southern California, but missed these events.

Here is a 41-minute audio recording of Jim Rash after a screening of “The Writers’ Room,” his new Sundance Channel TV series:

Rash is a writer himself having won an Oscar as a co-writer on the movie The Descendants, and co-wrote and directed the indie film The Way Way Back, but may be best known for his acting role on the NBC TV series “Community” where he plays Dean Pelton.

The concept behind “The Writers’ Room” is simple: Jim talks to writers involved with a variety of TV series, one per episode. Episodes include conversations with the writers involved with Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, New Girl, and Parks and Recreation. The series provides a unique insight into writing for TV.

New episodes debut on The Sundance Channel on Monday nights at 10PM. You may go here to visit the series’ website and see the Breaking Bad episode online in its entirety.
