“Between the Lines:” Vietnam era surfing doc

Reader Scott posted a comment in today’s Daily Dialogue, which features the movie Apocalypse Now, about a documentary called “Between the Lines: The True Story of Surfers During the Vietnam War.” Sounds like a fascinating story. And for all you SoCal dudes and dudettes, the movie is playing exclusively tomorrow night, July 25th, at the Huntington Beach Art Center. The event benefits the Long Beach Veterans Hospital Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab — great cause, interesting documentary, sounds like the makings of a fantastic night out.

Interesting to note that one of the credited screenwriters for Apocalypse Now, John Milius, narrates the documentary.
