Gus: Did you ever do drugs with Mr. Boz?
Catherine: Sure.
Gus: What kind of drugs?
Catherine: Cocaine. Have you ever fucked on cocaine, Nick? It’s nice.
Catherine uncrosses her legs and it can be seen she’s wearing no underwear.
Nick: You like playing games don’t you?
Catherine: I have a degree in psychology, it goes with the turf… Games are fun.
— Basic Instinct (1992), written by Joe Estzerhas
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Femme Fatale.
Trivia: Joe Eszterhas wrote the script in ten days in the 1980s while listening to The Rolling Stones non-stop without even having a story outline. It was first called Love Hurts, but he then sold it three days later at auction as Basic Instinct.
Dialogue On Dialogue: A notable scene in the movie, the dialogue secondary to Catherine’s leg-crossing incident.
