Greg opens the bottle of champagne. The cork flies across the room and hits the urn filled with Jack’s deceased mother’s ashes which topples to the floor with a loud CRASH!

Dina: Ah!
Greg: Oh!
Jack: Ugh!
Pam: Oh my God!

And THEN the cat goes to the ashes scattered on the floor and proceeds to use it as kitty litter.

Meet the Parents (2000), screenplay by Jim Herzfeld and John Hamburg, story by Greg Glienna & Mary Ruth Clarke

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Broken, suggested by Gisela Wehrl.

Trivia: The MPAA would not allow the name “Focker” unless the filmmakers could find an actual person with that surname.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Sometimes the best dialogue are exclamations as in this scene.
