Daily Dialogue — August 6, 2014

“God, when I meet you, I’m going to be pretty, if it’s the last thing I do. I’ll be a beautiful angel.”

Dallas Buyers Club (2013), written by Craig Borten, Melisa Wallack

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Grief. Today’s suggestion by The Quiet Act.

Trivia: Such were the budgetary constraints on this 25-day shoot, no customary lighting setups were used for the only camera that was hand-held for takes lasting up to 15 minutes. Rehearsals were excluded and, to the relief of the actors, no post-production looping requested.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Commentary from The Quiet Act: “Why is it memorable? The realisation and acceptance of the inevitable, whilst grieving a life that still wants to be lived. Dialogue that is made outstanding in the performance.”

If you have any suggestions for this week’s theme, please post in comments.
