The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is flashbacks, suggested by Alexander Gorelik.

Trivia: It took a full week to film the opening dream sequence. Director John Frankenheimer rushed a rough edit of the sequence to Frank Sinatra, then decided to keep the cut in the final movie unchanged.

Dialogue On Dialogue: This is an example of dream as flashback. The contrast between the leader of the flower club and the doctor’s speech drives home the point of how powerful the brainwashing has been to the American soldiers.
