The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is New Year’s Eve.

Trivia: An ending scene showing rescue boats surrounding the sinking ship was planned, but the budget ran out. The shot of the helicopter lifting off the hull was done on the studio lot, looking upward to avoid seeing the surrounding buildings.

Dialogue On Dialogue: The side of dialogue referenced above is delivered by the Reverend Scott, played by Gene Hackman. Pretty much conveys one of the central themes of the movie, individuals working together in a fight to save their lives.
