Daily Dialogue — July 28, 2013

“Really? Well guess fucking what? I don’t really fucking care. You wanna know fucking why? Because I don’t fucking live in the fucking world! I live in fucking New York City! So go fuck yourself!”

The Paper (1994), written by David Koepp, Stephen Koepp

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is tantrums, suggested by Aarthi Ramanathan.

Trivia: Co-screenwriter Stephen Koepp has experience in the world of journalism, as he is the editor-in-chief of Time Magazine.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Sometimes an onscreen tantrum can be cathartic only for the character, but also for the viewer. How many times have you wanted to lose your mind with someone? Repressed those urges, right? To experience vicariously the pure empowerment of a character like Henry in The Paper can be pure enjoyment.
