Daily Dialogue — July 5, 2015
“I have a drinking problem? Fuck you, Peck, you’re a Mormon. Compared to you we all have a drinking problem! What the fuck is this? Whose ass did I fail to kiss?”
— Burn After Reading (2008), written by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Quitting.
Trivia: The Coen brothers said they wrote the screenplay for this film while writing the screenplay for No Country for Old Men (2007). They would usually alternate every other day for each script.
Dialogue On Dialogue: Okay, technically Osborne is fired, but he tells his wife he quit. Meanwhile she tells him she wants to quit — their marriage. Great start to a funny movie.
