Note: The only dialogue is the foreign language of the prison guards, the cries of fear from the prisoners… then their exclamations of relief.
— Schindler’s List (1993), screenplay by Steve Zaillian, novel by Thomas Keneally
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Shower. Today’s suggestion by Alexis Howell-Jones.
Trivia: Schindler has to rescue Stern from a train bound for a death camp, foreshadowing his eventual rescue of all of his workers.
Dialogue On Dialogue: This scene is a great example of visual storytelling. We understand what we cannot decipher from the foreign because of what we see. Pure cinema.
