MINION: We did it! We did it!
MEGAMIND: (laughs) Fist pump!
ROXANNE: You did it!
MEGAMIND: We won! We won! We won! Ah! Get back you savages!
ROXANNE: Sorry, sorry. He’s just not used to positive feedback.

Megamind (2010), written by Alan Schoolcraft, Brent Simons

The Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Triumph, suggested by Shannon Corbeil. Today’s recommendation by Will King.

Trivia: The film’s plot was based on the premise: “What if Lex Luthor defeated Superman?”

Dialogue On Dialogue: Commentary by Will: “Megamind, an alien who spent his entire life playing the role of villain, is forced to play the hero role when his own creation turns out to be worse than himself. But even in triumph, he’s just not really capable of accepting the adulation due him. Nice comic moment to ease the transition out of the climax of the story.”
