Daily Dialogue — March 14, 2014

“And the loser gets nothing.”

Kingpin (1996), written by Barry Fanaro, Mort Nathan

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Sports Announcer, suggested by @dproII.

Trivia: As is the case with most of his films, Bill Murray ad-libbed virtually every line he spoke. He would read over the script, get the general idea, and then discard it. The Farrelly brothers, on the DVD commentary, said that they’re very glad he did, because it was funnier.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Always great to drop in an actual sports announcer to lend both credibility and humor to a story like Chris Schenkel here in Kingpin.
