Han Solo: I’m sure Luke wasn’t on that thing when it blew.

Princess Leia: He wasn’t. I can feel it.

Han Solo: You love him, don’t you?

Princess Leia: Yes.

Han Solo: All right. I understand. Fine. When he comes back, I won’t get in the way.

Trivia: It is rumored that a different ending was shot, but discarded later on. It featured the (long awaited) marriage between Leia Organa and Han Solo. In the Star Wars “Expanded Universe” books, they go on to marry and raise a brood.

Dialogue On Dialogue: I think this point in the movie was where I pretty felt like Star Wars had run its course. Episode IV? Great. Episode V? Even better. Episode VI? Felt like a rehash, even this revelation: “He’s my brother / I am your father.” So glad Lucas decided not to make Eps. I, II, and III!
