Priest: Michael, do you believe in God the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
Michael: I do.

The Godfather (1972), screenplay by Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola, novel by Mario Puzo

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Baptism.

Trivia: The film begins and ends with important events in the life of Connie Corleone. It starts with her wedding, has its climax at her daughter’s baptism, and ends with her confronting Michael about her husband’s murder. Yet she has few scenes in the rest of the film.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Perhaps the most memorable baptism scene in cinema history.
