Dewey Cox: [singing] In my dreams, you’re blowing me… some kisses.
Darlene: [singing] That’s one of my favorite things to do.
Dewey Cox: [singing] You and I could go down… in history.
Darlene: [singing] That’s what I’m praying to do with you.

— “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” (2007), written by Judd Apatow, Jake Kasdan

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Double Entendre.

Trivia: The screenplay for this film was featured in the 2006 Black List.

Dialogue On Dialogue: In my two years as a stand-up comic, part of my act was comedy songs. One was a country song entitled “How Can I Get Over Her When She’s Still Under Him”. So the double entendre of “Let’s Duet” is near and dear to my heart.
