The Daily Dialogue theme for the week is non-verbal ‘dialogue’ suggested by Liz Swan who also suggested Witness.

Trivia: The original screenplay focused mainly on Rachel, but director Peter Weir asked screenwriters William Kelley and Earl W. Wallace to rewrite it to focus on the comparison of pacifism and violence as seen through the eyes of John Book.

Dialogue On Dialogue: This is an excellent example of non-verbal ‘dialogue,’ how Samuel provides a revelation to Book without using words, and crafted in a way to build tension as he makes this ‘journey’ through the police station.
