The Daily Dialogue theme for the month: Writers and Writing.

Trivia: The director, Bennett Miller, and Philip Seymour Hoffman were both graduates of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, in the Film program and Acting program, respectively, who collaborated together on projects during those years.

Dialogue On Dialogue: I suspect each of us has the ambition to write a “good” story. How many of us dream of one so powerful, the thought of it makes it so we “can’t breathe”?

This line offers a wonderful insight into Capote’s character, the conflicting drives to find the truth, work through his feelings for Perry, and feed his creative ambition.
