“Ding-dong! May I interject for a second? As a Burger Shack employee for the past three years, if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that if you’re craving White Castle, the burgers here just don’t cut it. In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one… just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down. Come on, Pookie, let’s burn this motherfucker down! Come on, Pookie! Let’s burn it, Pookie! Let’s burn this motherfucker down! Let’s burn it down!”

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004), written by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Drive-Thru Window.

Trivia: Writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg were on-set throughout filming at director Danny Leiner’s request, who acted as a mentor to them.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Drive-thru window scenes typically involve two points of reference — the customer and the server. Here the Burger Shack Employee (Anthony Anderson) has an over the top reaction. Histrionics aside, the scene has a point: To lock down the the Protagonist Duo’s conscious goal: To get to White Castle that night no matter what (“No matter what, we are not ending this night without White Castle in our stomachs.”)
