Trivia: The morning talk show hosts on the TV right before Mrs. Lundegaard is kidnapped were actual Minnesota morning talk show hosts for many years during the 80s and early 90s. They hosted a show called “Good Company”.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Commentary from Daniel: “Very little dialogue in this brilliant kidnapping scene, but what we get is unique and funny. Grimsrud’s “unguent” comment doesn’t seem important at first, but ironically, had he not been so selfish that he ignored the mission and looked for the tube, poor Mrs. Lundegaard could possibly have remained undetected and escaped.”
