Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Asking a favor

We’ve got a whole new batch of Daily Dialogue themes bubbling to the surface, still sorting through those suggestions from this post. But after a week’s worth of posts about reunions [thanks, Laura Deerfield, for that], this week the theme is… Asking A Favor, suggested by rdlln:

Frankly I think this may be harder than it looks. Sure, everyone remembers the opening scene in The Godfather. In fact, there are several moments in the movie where characters ask favors of others. But other movie moments, maybe they don’t spring so easily to mind.

Hence a worthy challenge for you Daily Dialogue devotees. Can we find 7 good examples of dialogue where someone asks for a favor?

Game on, folks!

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting?

See you in comments for your suggestions featuring this week’s theme: Asking a favor.
