The Daily Dialogue theme for next week: First day on the job, suggested by Bretton Zinger.

“And they dock ya’!”

What movie scenes can you can come up that feature a character’s first day on the job?

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting?

NOTE: We need a new batch of weekly themes, so if you have any suggestions, please post those as well in comments.

The theme has to be broad enough whereby we can come up with 7 movie moments. Also there is an educational component to Daily Dialogue so whatever suggestions you make, think about them like a writer: What could be an interesting theme which could provide insight into this part of the craft.
