Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Overcome with emotion

As we wrap up a week’s worth of Pixar moments [thanks for that, Mark Walker], it’s time for next week’s theme: Overcome with emotion suggested by Sabina.

Well, I’m sure we can do better than that. Think of movies where a character loses it. Anger. Grief. Joy. Fear.

Now make sure the dialogue in that movie adds to the memorable nature of the moment.

Personally I think this is going to be a hard challenge. Can we come up with 7 great movie moments in which a character is overcome with emotion?

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting?
