Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Riffs

As we wind down a week’s worth of Woody Allen witticisms [thanks, Sean Harris], next weeks’ theme is riffs, courtesy of a suggestion by churnage.

Now there is riffing, that is commenting on a movie a la Cinematic Titanic. And there is riffing where a character muses on a certain subject, “clever or inventive commentary.”

I’m thinking Tarantino, folks!

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from MovieClips or YouTube.

I’d also like to ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting.
