Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Smooth Talking

After getting high all week on drug deals [thanks to Jonathan Webb for the suggestion], this week we shift to the theme of smooth talking, courtesy of David Proenza. Perhaps like Otter attempting to woo Dean Wormer’s wife in Animal House:

What memorable movie moments can you conjure up that feature a character or characters engaged in smooth talking?

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from MovieClips or YouTube.

I’d also like to ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting.
