Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Tantrums

We’re just rounding out a week’s worth of horror scenes, courtesy a suggestion by @JaimePrimak. For next week, the theme is tantrums, offered up by Aarthi Ramanathan.

If you don’t recognize this scene, then you have some serious movie-watching to do to bolster your knowledge. FYI it’s this dramatic moment from Citizen Kane:

A tantrum of epic proportions.

For next week the usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting?

Here is the lineup for upcoming Daily Dialogue themes:

July 29-August 4: Eulogies [Despina]

August 5-August 11: Talking to one’s self [camdeaver]

August 12-August 18: Pixar moments [Mark Walker]

August 19-August 25: Overcome with emotion [Sabina]

August 26-September 1: Less is more [hobbs001]

September 2-September 8: Seduction [Despina]

September 9-September 15: Reunion [Laura Deerfield]

See you in comments for your suggestions featuring this week’s theme: Tantrums.

And if you have any other suggestions for Daily Dialogue themes, please post them.
