Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Recounting a legend

As we round out a week of profanity free insults [thank to Mark Walker for that theme], it’s time to turn to next week’s selection: Recounting a legend suggested by alexmatu:

This theme got me thinking and it occurred to me there are plenty of instances in movies where a character tells a story, real or a lie, about some legendary figure, oftentimes moving into a flashback, but sometimes just the dialogue itself.

I can think of a lot. How about you?

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting?
