GITS!
Judging from site traffic, comments and emails, it looks like we have quite a few new folks who have recently joined the GITS community, so I thought since it’s the beginning of a new month and a new quarter, and it getting all spring-like outside [cue frolicking bunnies and flitting butterflies]…
LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER, HUH?

First off, you may not know it, but this blog runs on a schedule. Why? Because: (A) I’m a military brat. (B) My ancestors who immigrated to America from Germany were part of the Brethren movement and looked like this:

Amidst all that, I record every spec script sale I can source. Occasional humorous videos. And generally anything related to the screenwriting profession and movies. So if you can’t afford a watch, you can always just track GITS posts to keep track of time.
If you check under Lists, you will see several dozen topics. At those links, you will find hundreds of helpful posts, everything from 1, 2, 7, 14, a simple formula to be a more productive and better screenwriter, to Writing Mantras, including favorites like “Trust the Process” and “The Only Way Out is Through.”
By the way, did you know in the nearly 5 years I’ve been hosting this blog, there have been 11,398 posts?
So while we’re taking this chance to get to know each other, please take the opportunity to introduce yourself in comments. Also:
* If you have a blog about movies, writing, creativity and the like, give me your link and I’ll add you to the Friends list.
* If you have a movie you have made you feel is worthy of our attention and you have an embed code, submit that info and I will consider doing a GITS post about your film [May is going to be Movies You Made month as I’ve been accumulating a lot of submissions].
* If you have suggestions for the blog or ideas about what you’d like to see, perhaps a series focusing on a topic you haven’t seen covered, by all means sound off.
This site gets well over a million visits each year. Heck, my Twitter feed (@GoIntoTheStory) along has over 13,000 followers. So I think it’s fair to say there is a GITS community.
Therefore let’s get to know each other better.
