“Listen To A Movie”

I recently revisited one of my Dumb Little Writing Tricks That Work posts, the one called “Listen to a movie,” and I was reminded of this fantastic website which hosts hundreds of movies and DVD commentaries, all as audio files. The site is designated “For the Cubicle Workers of the World,” but for serious students of movies and especially screenwriting, this is a great way to up your game when it comes to writing dialogue as well as getting a feel for the atmosphere, feel and pace of movies — by listening to them.

For example, want to hear all of Citizen Kane? You can go here. Alien? Here. When Harry Met Sally? Here.
