If you’re a fan of (A) movies and (B) podcasts, I strongly recommend The Broken Projector Podcast. Launched in January 2013, hosts Geoff LaTulippe and Scott Beggs upload a new entry about every week, so it’s both timely and informative. It’s also entertaining as hell as Geoff and Scott are knowledgeable, naturals with the format, and quite funny.
Did I say knowledgeable? Yes, and I meant it! Geoff is a long-time screenwriter who wrote the movie Going the Distance and is one of the more active members of the online writing community via his Twitter feed. And Scott is a movie critic who I got to know through his writing at Film School Rejects, one of my favorite movie sites, and has also been featured at Vanity Fair, Indiewire, Flavorwire, and Nerdist among other sites.
And now from the GITS Shameless Plug Department: Tomorrow I will be a guest on the last TBPP episode of 2016, so if you have any questions about screenwriting, either craft or business related, post them in comments and there’s a good chance Geoff, Scott, and I will provide some — hopefully — helpful feedback. Plus your name will be uttered and recorded for posterity’s sake, so there’s that, too.
I’ve been featuring the podcast each week in my Saturday Hot Link posts ever since Geoff and Scott started it. It’s most definitely a worthy online screenwriting and movie resource.
