Movies You Made: “PIXEL 2013”

For several months, I’ve been tagging a bunch of emails from filmmakers who have contacted me about their film projects, so I figured we should feature them this May. Today we feature something fun: A 2-minute film festival intro from filmmaker André Hedetoft:

Danish superstar Kim Bodnia stars in crazy film festival intro featuring zombies, ninjas and a T-Rex

Swedish directing duo André Hedetoft and Andreas Climent have created a stunning intro film for the Scandinavian festival “PIXEL 2013”. The film features a teenage girl, played by rising star Fanny Ketter, who stumbles into different movie genres on her way to deliver her own film to the festival. The journey takes her through everything from romantic costume dramas to sci-fi action, zombie horror and an adventure film with a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The film also features a special cameo from danish superstar Kim Bodnia, known from films like Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Pusher” and TV-Series “The Bridge”.

The intro film was made on a shoestring budget and taken from idea to finished film in less than four weeks. To pull this off, the filmmakers assembled an impressive team of collaborators. The film was shot in the same studios as the “Wallander” movies and Solid Entertainment contributed with their RED Epic camera, operated by Tazmanian DOP Janssen Herr. The music was written by Los Angeles based composer S. Peace Nistades.

André Hedetoft and Andreas Climent are known for their love of strong stories with a touch of the extraordinary. Their latest short film “Logan” become an Internet phenomenon, seen in 150 countries in less than a week and featured on websites like Slashfilm, IMDB and Film School Rejects. They are currently in post-production on their next short film “Little Sister” and in pre-production on a secret sci-fi feature.
