Movies You Made: “Shattered”

Another Movie You Made from recent USC film school grad Spenser Cohen:

“Shattered” is my thesis project from film school. We shot it on 16mm film in Los Angeles over the course of four weekends, and spent three months in post production (editing, scoring, doing sound design, etc.) I’m really drawn to stories that explore the extraordinary in the mundane. I love the juxtaposition of having these bizarre characters with strange abilities colliding in this ordinary coffee shop. I was very much inspired by Christopher Nolan’s films during the making of this short, specifically in regards to structure.
