Pitch sale: “Untitled Jeremy Garelick Project”

Columbia Pics picks up untitled rom-com pitch from writer Jeremy Garelick:

Garelick, who co-wrote “The Break-Up” with Jay Lavender, said the comedy is about what happens to the relationship of two male best friends and when their children fall in love.”It’s what happens when your best friend’s son knocks up your daughter,” Garelick said.
The comedy is inspired by Garelick’s own romance with his wife, Samantha. Their parents were best friends, and Garelick added the pregnancy part as a comedic device.

Garelick set to direct. Deal is in the seven-figure range.
