“When I choose a project, I choose it because it interests me. I know some are probably more commercial than others, but my feeling is that if it interests me, hopefully it’ll interest someone else. It’s only fun to work on something you really like. It’s gonna be hard enough to do it you like it, and it’s gonna be impossible to do if you don’t like it. If you’re working on something you’re not really into, you’re not gonna do it very well. You’re not gonna get good ideas. You’re not gonna be inspired. You’re not gonna be happy to get up every day and go to work on it — and its chances of being made are diminished because of that. Let the audience decide whether it’s gonna be successful or not.”
