Spec Script Deal: “Mother Land”

Lionsgate acquires horror spec script “Mother Land” written by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby. Via Deadline:

Billed as a timely and high concept piece, Mother Land centers on a family who has been haunted by an evil spirit for years. Their safety and surroundings come into question when one of the children questions if the evil is real.

The writers are repped by Paradigm and The Coronel Group.

By my count, this is the 16th spec script deal in 2020.
