Spec Script Sale: “La Vida Robot”

Pantelion Films greenlights drama spec script “La Vida Robot” it acquired from writer Elissa Matsueda. From THR:

Marisa Tomei has joined La Vida Robot, Pantelion Films’ upcoming drama about four undocumented Mexican-American high school students who form a robotics club.

The project was announced on November 4.

Matsueda is repped by Gersh and Circle of Confusion.

By my count, this is the 82nd spec script sale in 2013.

There were 90 spec script sales year-to-date in 2012.
