Spec Script Sale: “Line of Duty”

Lotus Entertainment acquires crime drama spec script “Line of Duty” written by Cory Miller. From THR:

Miller spent four years working as an investigator in the NYPD Internal Affairs unit before attending UCLA, where he earned an MFA in writing and directing in 2011. He’s been editing and producing short films and music videos since, and this is his first sale.

Drawing on his experiences, Miller wrote Duty as a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth through a police-thriller filter. In a tone similar to The Departed, it focuses on the tragic rise and fall of a heroic NYPD narcotics detective who is pushed to the dark side of police corruption.

Miller is repped by APA and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
