Spec script sale: “O’Gunn”

As part of its PR at Cannes, Reliance Entertainment announced the purchase of the comedy spec script “O’Gunn” from writers Ed Cannistraci and Fred Seton:

Jim Carrey is attached to star, and his company will produce. Carrey will play a psychopathic Scottish cop who follows his nemesis to America to attempt to prevent a disastrous crime.

Script sold for $750K against 1.5M. Writers are repped by Dan Aloni and Greg McKnight (CAA), managed by Category 5 Entertainment, and their attorney is Jeff Frankel.

Duo sold the spec script “Pierre Pierre” in March 2008 for $1M, also with Jim Carrey attached.
