Spec Script Sale: “The Lost”
New Line acquires action comedy spec script “The Lost” written by T.J. Fixman. From THR:
The story focuses on reformed first-time offenders who must clear their name after they are framed for the murder of their parole officer.
Another action comedy. Hm. Who was it that said 2 years ago that cross genre was due for a comeback? Per my records, “The Lost” is the 6th Action-Comedy spec script sale of the year. Plus there have been some pitches as well. Good to see. One of my favorite type of movies and a nice avenue to pursue for comedy writers.
Fixman is repped by WME and Fourth Floor Management.
By my count, this is the 60the spec script sale in 2013.
There were 65 spec script sales year-to-date in 2012.
