“Staff Meeting Video: The Movie”
So back in 2010, WME did a movie spoof called “Pinkberry: The Movie”:
Today a follow-up hit YouTube. Per Deadline:
The new spoof made its debut at the all company meeting last Friday, and somebody put it on YouTube, which is where I found it. While Pinkberry mainly took swipes at actual WME agents, this film spreads the pain to other agencies as well.

The new movie was directed by Dave Green, scripted by Henry Gayden, with Charlize Theron, Shawn Levy and Max Landis joining in the mischief as well as a host of agents including Adam Venit, Phil Raskind, Danny Greenberg and Rick Rosen.
Fun stuff. Of course this comes on the heels of the Jimmy Kimmel “Movie: The Movie” trailer:
And the “Trailer For Every Oscar-Winning Movie Ever”:
I know we live in a post-modern world. But now we’re moving so meta with the self-referencing… where does it end?
Or maybe it doesn’t. Since everybody knows everyone who knows everything, maybe all stories are doomed to become exercises in masturbatory referentialiasm.
And there you go. A doctoral thesis title waiting to happen:
“Masturbatory Referentialism: A Meta-Study in Post-Post-Modernism and Hollywood Agency Staff Meeting Video Movies.”
